Wildfire Smoke Information and Resources

Ravalli County, Fire in the Root, and DPHHS have partnered with the following sites to establish wildfire smoke shelters in our communities.  These sites will be equipped with HEPA air filters and will be available to folks who need to get out of the outdoor smoke or come in and cool off.  Locations and hours are shown below:

These sites may be activated during periods of wildfire smoke and/or poor air quality in the valley.

Bitterroot Public Library

Monday to Thursday: 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Friday and Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Closed Sundays, State Holidays, and sometimes the Saturdays closest to State Holidays (like July 5th this year, Saturday before Labor Day)

Darby Public Library

Wednesday to Friday: 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

North Valley Public Library:
